Sean Collins Inducted Into Seal Beach Surfing Hall of Fame
Surfline Founder among others to be honored at local gala
The inaugural Seal Beach Surfing Hall of Fame Ball presented by West Coast Toyota sold out this past weekend, as members of the Seal Beach BoardRiders Club and the local surfing community gathered to pay respects to the forefathers of Seal Beach surfing.
Among the inductees were Jack Haley Sr, the first U.S Surfing Champion, lifeguards Denny Buell and Tim Dorsey, and Rich Harbour, whose surf shop has been in the same location since 1959 and helped foster the shaping talents of Dick Brewer, Herbie Fletcher, Bill Fury, Robert August, Chas Wickwire, and Tim Stamps.
