In celebrating the Southern Hemi Season, here’s In celebrating the Southern Hemi Season, here’s one of my most memorable waves at Teahupo’o back in 2004. Once I let go of the rope, everything happened really fast. In typical fashion, I took the wrong line, came out too far in front of it, looked up and saw that monster lip coming down on me. Right then, I laid into my half as out of control bottom turn and then manage to squeak straight up into a cavern with a vision of the channel and end hook that I’ll never forget. What a FKN moment that was! I was 44 at the time and this was only my second session at the time. Hard to believe that was 20 years ago! Ty always my brotha 👨‍✈️ @raimanaworld for clearing the lineup during this set and 📸 @timmckenna for capturing the moment in a full sequence of a lifetime. 💯🙏🤙
