6 Dudes, 1 Supsquatch, and Massive Nazaré

The Inertia

Big wave surfing is one thing. Getting a crew of people to tow into a single Nazaré bomb…together…is an entirely different universe of crazy.

Caught in the slew of videos and highlights that have been coming out of Portugal this entire week, one recent one looks like something out of an episode of Who Is JOB?  It’s a clip of Felipe Cesarano, Pato Teixeira, Lucas Chianca, Pedro Calado, Stephan Figeiredo, and Kalani Lattanzi piled onto a SUP squatch, hanging on for dear life as they point it down the face of a wave that was estimated as big as 30 feet. Everybody’s safe, they clearly had their fair share of laughs, but man…that’s one crazy squad.

Note from Towsurfer.com’s Eric Akiskalian: This stunt would not have been made possible on this day without the amazing driving of local safety driver Sergio Cosmo, the ocean safety crew, lifegurards, and spotters on the cliff.
